Red Flags of a Phishing Email:
Unexpected Attachments or Links
If you're not expecting it, don't open it.Strange Sender Address
Check if the email address is close but not quite right
(e.g.,support@micr0soft.com
instead ofsupport@microsoft.com
).Urgency or Threats
Messages that say “Your account will be deleted in 24 hours” are classic phishing.Generic Greetings
“Dear user” instead of your name is a red flag.
What to Do:
